Heatherlyn Music Long Bio for Churches and Faith Communities
Heatherlyn, is an inspiring, independent, full-time singer, song-artist, poet, communicator, musician and worship leader, originally from the East Coast and currently making her home with her husband, Jason, and two cats in the MidWest.
The music she writes is about life, love and being the difference we each can be as conduits of God's peace, hope and love in our communities and throughout the world. With diverse sounds throughout her music, Heatherlyn’s honest and soulful voice conveys a message of hope that resonates with a wide spectrum people from all backgrounds and generations. She believes art and music can inspire deeper conversation about being in partnership with God’s transformative movement of love, reconciling communities and all of creation and bringing heaven here on earth.
Heatherlyn studied and earned a B.A. in Biblical and Theological Studies and a minor in Youth Ministries from Gordon College in Wenham, MA. From there, she was launched into various opportunities as a worship leader for GROUP work camps, various churches and youth ministries. She thinks deeply, theologically and missionally about the songs she writes for congregational worship.

Heatherlyn served several years on the Worship Arts Team at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Burnsville, MN and is currently a worship song leader and community builder with River of Joy Lutheran Church, a mission plant in Prior Lake, MN. Partnerships with these churches and others have resulted in concerts for AIDS awareness, hunger concerts, and much more, impacting and empowering the greater community to come together to participate in and perpetuate the hope of the living Gospel!
Heatherlyn has led worship, song and prayer for Missional Church Consultations at Luther Seminary; St. Paul, MN and last year, Heatherlyn led 2,500 confirmation students in worship at the largest Minneapolis and St. Paul synod event held at the legendary Roy Wilkins Auditorium in St. Paul, MN. Heatherlyn and Jason have most recently lived out their faith in the world by partnering with non-profit organizations such as the United Way and Youthrive to bring inspiration to State-wide Summits on High School Completion/Drop-Out Prevention and Sexual Violence Prevention.
Heatherlyn performs locally and nationally for various corporate and nonprofit events, youth and family ministries, women's ministries, other faith gatherings, house concerts and much more
